Today’s Daily Devotion is based on the scripture Matthew 18:20: “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
This verse reminds us of the power of gathering together with other believers in the name of Jesus. When we come together as a community of faith, the presence of God is with us. We are not alone, for Christ is in our midst, and we can draw strength and comfort from his presence.
In today’s world, it can be easy to feel isolated and disconnected from others. We may feel like we’re on our own, struggling to navigate the challenges of life. But when we gather together in Jesus’ name, we are reminded that we are part of something bigger than ourselves. We are part of a community of believers who are united in their love for God and their commitment to following Jesus.
As we gather together, we have the opportunity to encourage one another, pray for one another, and support one another in our faith journeys. We can share our struggles and our triumphs, and we can find strength and hope in the knowledge that we are not alone.
So today, let us remember the power of gathering together in Jesus’ name. Let us seek out opportunities to connect with other believers, whether it’s through worship services, Bible studies, or other community events. And let us be open to the ways in which God may work through our relationships with others, drawing us closer to him and to one another.
Prayer: Dear Lord, we thank you for the promise that when two or three are gathered in your name, you are in our midst. We ask that you would help us to seek out opportunities to gather with other believers, and to be open to the ways in which you may work through our relationships with others. May we draw strength and comfort from your presence as we journey together in faith. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
